This page contains information how our app Ventusky for iOS and Android and our website ventusky.com collects private information and what we use this information for. This Privacy Policy regulates how we uses, process and handle your personal data. This Privacy Policy also provides you with all of the necessary information according to the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 ("GDPR").

In this Privacy Policy, the following definitions are used. "Company" or "we" means InMeteo, s.r.o., a company having its registered office at Kotíkovská 1268/75 Plzeň 323 00, Czech Republic, registered in the Commercial Register kept by the Municipal Court in Pilsen. "User" or "you" means the person, company or institution that uses our app In-počasí.

Our Company process Personal data that are stated below. The Personal data is used solely for purposes of providing better service to you. We do not loan, rent or sell information to others.

Location

If you grant Ventusky app or website access to your current location, our Company uses your location to get weather data and display the weather forecast for your location. To provide you weather forecast for your location, we need to use information on your current location. Please note, that if you want to use the widget on iOS or Android with your current location, you must allow access to location data in the background of the system. We use this information to update the location in the widget if you move from one city to another.

If you no longer wish to share your location with our Company, you may change the settings within our app or not to allow us to use your current location when our app or website require this information.

Records of usage

We use tools (Google Analytics and Firebase) to analyze the use of the Ventusky Android app and website. We monitor which data is the most popular or errors that occur while using the Ventusky app or website. Data is completely anonymized and it is not possible to use it to identify a specific user. We collect this data in order to improve the quality and stability of the application.

All your settings and search history are stored inside your device. We don't transfer these data to our servers.

Contact form

If you contact us via the contact form or e-mail, your contact information will be saved in the email client used in our Company. If you want your previously sent messages to be deleted, you can request it via the e-mail.

In-app purchases

In-app purchase environment gives you the opportunity to use extended content within our Ventusky Android app. When purchasing in the application, we keep only the device ID, the date of the purchase and the expiration date of the purchased subscription.

We limit access to personal information about you to employees, contractors and service providers who we believe reasonably need to have access to that information to provide products or services to you or in order to do their jobs.

Our company has physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that are designed to comply with regulations to protect your personal information. We limit access to our databases containing personal data to only authorized persons.

We only store your personal data for as long a time as is necessary for legitimate and essential business purposes.
